Courses

Rediscover your creative side with a unique opportunity to experience what it's like to work with molten glass. You will be taught by the finest glassmakers in the country with the added benefit of small class sizes - there will be one instructor for every two students so you will have plenty of individual attention and the opportunity to learn lots.

Full and half day courses

You will meet one of our experienced glassmaking instructors in The Old Pottery Restaurant at 9.00am. You will then be introduced to the following glass making processes:

Sand Casting

Gathering molten glass from a furnace

Applying colour

Making a paperweight

The instructor will demonstrate each process before you have a go yourself.

At 1.00pm you will have lunch in The Old Pottery restaurant with your instructor where you will be able to choose from our extensive menu. After lunch you return to the glassworks to be introduced to more advanced glass making processes:

More advanced blowing techniques

The course fee is £180.00 including lunch based on two people sharing. We also offer a half day workshop for £95.00 again based on two people sharing.
